How does DojoMojo’s SMS Marketing Pricing Work?
Your marketing and outreach efforts may vary by audience and campaign. That’s why our plans are designed to give you not only the most competitive cost per message but also the most flexible plans for your communication needs.
SMS Marketing plans are credit-based, and credits cover both SMS and MMS blocks. You can use these credits across all of your text message marketing activities.
Our price is an industry-leading low cost of just $0.01 per credit. Each credit is the same price no matter how many you buy. Use one (1) credit for SMS, three (3) credits for MMS.

How do I know which plan to pick?
Plans are contract-free and designed based on usage. All you need to do is purchase the plan that best fits your budget, audience size, and messaging frequency!
To ensure you never run out of messages midway through a campaign, DojoMojo’s messaging plans automatically refill. Your plan refills when your balance reaches 100 credits.
You will receive a notification when your account tops up. Scale the number of credits along with your audience growth, and keep your payment information up-to-date in your account to maintain your message flow.
Messaging Compliance Requirements
To comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act’s (TCPA) messaging regulations, we have several automated compliance measures, including appending a mandatory compliance message to your texts. This compliance message is automatically appended to messages on a 30-day basis per subscriber.
Compliance messages are deducted from your overall balance. For example, if you send a 160-character welcome message to a new subscriber, you will use two (2) credits, one for your welcome message, and one for your compliance message.
Message Blocks, Length and Credits Usage
SMS messages are handled in messaging blocks. Standard messaging blocks are limited to 160 characters. Any standard alphabet letter, symbol, or space is considered a single character.
For larger messages over 160 characters, the message is broken down into 153-characters parts––blocks–– and sent individually. Most modern phones will link and rebuild the multiple blocks together so that they appear as a longer, single SMS message in recipients’ phones.
Example: If you send a 161-character message, it will be sent in two parts, one with 153 characters and the other with the remaining 8 characters. This message will require two (2) credits total.
SMS Blocks with Emojis and Special Characters
SMS messages containing emojis and special characters are limited to 70 characters per block. Unlike standard alphabet letters, emojis use extended encoding and require twice as much data.
Again, for larger messages, with emojis, the message is broken down into smaller parts, this time into 67-characters parts.
Example: If you send a 71-character message with an emoji, the message will be sent in two parts, one with 67 characters and the other with the remaining 4 characters. As credits handle DojoMojo messaging plans, this message will use two (2) credits total.
Picture messages, or multimedia messages (MMS), are different in that you are now sending out media files, including JPEGs, PNGs, and GIFs. The character count for MMS increases from the standard 160 to 1,600, which is excellent for sending longer messages. You will use three (3) credits from your balance for MMS.
