What's a Tracking Link?
To track visits and entries that each brand drives for the campaign, every brand must use Tracking Links. You can generate tracking links in DojoMojo from the Tracking tab within the Campaign Manager.
These are the links you'll share with your audience to promote your campaign. Never, ever share a preview link or plain URL (www.giveaway.com/giveaway) with your audience, or they will not be able to enter.
If the link you're copying to share is really long and wacky looking, you're using the right one!
Where do I find Tracking Links?
As a Partner, you have the ability to create your own Tracking Links, but sometimes the Host will do it. You'll want to communicate with the Host brand to ensure no one is duplicating efforts.
Creating Tracking Links
Open the Campaign Manager for your Upcoming Campaigns and navigate to the Tracking Links.
Choose a Channel
Select the promotional channel you're tracking. The channel can be a dedicated email, newsletter, or social media platform.
The Impressions field next to the promotional channel will automatically populate with the reach information you have provided in your Brand Settings (i.e., your number of Twitter followers or size of your dedicated email send). If it needs to be changed, you can edit it here.
Add a Date
Add a date for when you plan to share the giveaway through this promotional channel. Dates can be tentative and are subject to change but understanding when other Partners are promoting the Campaign can help you better understand when you should schedule your own promotions.
Save your Link
Click Save to save this tracking link.
It will now appear in the summary of tracking links at the bottom of the page:
Add Links to your Promotions
Copy this link to be share the campaign through that channel on the agreed upon date.
Press the Copy Link button next to Tracking Link for your brand. The link will copy to your clipboard automatically, and you can paste it as hyperlink into your dedicated email or social post.
Note by default, we append a Google Analytics UTM tag to the tracking URL so that Google Analytics can track campaign behavior.
