How do I look for Campaigns to Join?
One of the most exciting parts of DojoMojo is the ability to take advantage of activity already happening on the network by applying to join upcoming campaigns other brands are hosting.
DojoMojo’s Explore function displays all the open campaigns on DojoMojo. A Campaign is defined as open when it is initially created and the Host elects to make their campaign open for application.
If you’re new to DojoMojo, applying to join a campaign is a great way to step into the giveaway world and start growing your audience.
If it is your first time hosting and you do not have most of your participants already secured, choosing to have your Campaign listed on Campaign Search is an effective way of filling any remaining slots in a Partnership (this will be covered in Hosting in more detail).
Applying to Join Campaigns
Click Explore and you can sort open campaigns by host brand, launch date, how many partners are already signed up, and how many entries the campaign is expected to receive.
You can also click on the individual campaign card to learn more about the campaign, message the host, or apply to join.
Once you've clicked the campaign card and are viewing the campaign page, you can apply to join by click the Apply to Join button.
This will bring up a pre-written message that you can edit as needed. Just click Send Application to send it!
Once you've applied to join a campaign, you can view the status of your application in Messaging. Navigate to Messaging and click the Sent Applications tab to view the status of your applications.
- Treat it like Dodgeball. Hosts are evaluating Partner applications and often times receive quite a few applications for popular campaigns. Do everything you can to stand out. Look the part – make sure your numbers (list size, et all) are updated so when they review your account you’re putting your best foot forward. Always pair your application with a message explaining why you are the absolute best partner they could ask for. Emphasize the intangibles – if you’re easy to work with and willing to go the extra mile to succeed, you may win out over someone who simply brings a larger list size to the table.
- The early bird catches the worm. Don’t just apply to campaigns with a lot of partners. Those campaigns appear to be bigger right now, but by being the first partner you can often join campaigns you might not have otherwise been accepted to. The last spots are invariably the most hotly contested and oftentimes go to brands willing to offer significant prizing or who have a great deal of reach. If you don’t fall into one of those two buckets be early to join the campaign.
- Bring the pot-roast. If you have a list size smaller than most of the partners, pair your application with a compelling prize or something else to increase chances of acceptance. There is more to bring to the table than just a large email list and it is important you emphasize that in your communications with the host.
- Choose your battles. Be thoughtful about who you apply to partner and apply to the campaigns that seem ideally suited for you and that you also have a good chance of getting into. If a campaign has average list size of 300,000 and your list is 50,000 it probably is not a good use of your time to write a long application.
