What's a Custom CTA?
Premium Plan users can create a Custom CTA to maximize site views, unique visits, brand awareness and conversions for your business.
This call to action will be shown to entrants after they enter your giveaway and complete any Social Actions, and can prompt them to try a product or service, view a landing page or read a specific piece of content.
Here's an example, where the image and "Free Wine" button you see is a Custom CTA. Clicking that button would take the entrant to a landing page, where they can sign up for a free trial (or read your article, etc).
Important Note about Custom CTAs
The Host brand has the ultimate say over what Custom CTA ad appears to entrants. Before creating one, you should confirm with the Host brand if they agree to show your Custom CTA.
The Host can also elect to share the traffic between multiple partners.
Set up a Custom CTA
1. Open the Campaign Manager
In Campaign Manager, select Customize > Custom CTA > Build
2. Select a CTA Design
Select a Custom CTA type from the dropdown menu.
This custom CTA can be purely text with buttons for clear and concise messaging.
The Clickable Banner Ad/Small Image is similar in format to the display ads show on Facebook, Google Retargeting, Twitter, etc. but with no incremental marketing spend required. We recommend that you use an image around 800x400 in size.
The Full Page Ad maximizes the screen to deliver content to a user. Use this format for more complex messaging or emphasized visual effects to drive actions. Use a 1000x500 image for best results.
If your brand regularly does video advertising, you can also select that option and a video will begin auto-playing after an individual enters your giveaway. This is a great way to drive awareness to your YouTube channel. You'll be prompted to add the URL for the video if you use this option.
2. Add your CTA Message
Add the text you'd like to appear on the button. Good ideas include:
- Sign up now
- Shop now
- Learn more
- Claim your free trial
3. Add the URL
Add the URL you'd like to point people who click the button to.
4. Preview your ad
A preview will appear on the right showing you what your entrants will see.
